Some of these pics are from last year. I just wanted to make a scrapbook about all of our favorite things to do together. As much as it's been hard to be away from friends and family in Utah, it has been fun for Nate and I to be adventurous together and make new friends and try new hobbies together. We love friendly (or not so friendly) competition in darts, making bets drinking weird stuff, of course fishing, hiking, wakeboarding, tennis, camping, and running races together.
This is Nate's favorite place to fish and camp. The sunset was AMAZING on our drive up there! Arizona has awesome sunsets in the summer, that's the one good about AZ summer (it's already in the high 90's, YIKES!) I have to give a shout out to my mom for the Lloyds BBQ stuff. I used to hate that stuff as a kid and now that I have to prepare the food this is my go-to camping food. Get some buns and slap it on there, nice'n'easy just the way I like it. Nate's little boat fits nice in the back of his truck. It's perfect becaus we don't have to worry about hauling a trailer.
This is at Fossil Springs. It is such a beautiful place! You hike down for four miles to get to the waterfalls. Sometimes the water is crystal clear you can see all of the fish swimming. Nate was diving head first off the rope swing...I was such a chicken and it took me forever to dive off.
Okay, so these pics will probably be deleted shortly so get your kicks and giggles while you can :)! Yes, I know they are upside down, my blogging skills are awesome! We have spirit week at my elementary school where I teach (I teach 5th grade this year). I am also the student council advisor and I encourage all of the class reps to dress up. You've got to teach by example, right?? Most of you that know me well know that I look for any excuse to dress up so the whole advisor thing is just an excuse! The Christmas dress up was for a family party Nate and I went to. He is not as keen as the dress up idea as I am, it took a lot of convincing.
Nate and I are new parents! We LOVE our little man, Kade. We just bought a house last summer, Nate started working full time at the hospital, and I am a stay at home mama.
This will be our 2nd full marathon together, I am not the best at training..You have to get up so early here to run or it's too HOT! We are excited to do the race because my Dad and Uncle Sam are also running!
The before and after!
Mark comes home on Sept. 11th and I am so excited I can't even stand it! This was a picture we took the day he left the house for the MTC. I will post another picture when he returns! He served an amazing mission and I know our family is ready to hang out with the "M" once again!
